Arkansas Cabins

Cabins in ArkansasMulberry Mountain offers a wide variety of recreational activities during all four seasons including hiking and horseback trails, ATV trails, hunting, fishing, sight seeing, canoeing, kayaking, bicycling, repelling, and much more.

Hiking/Horse Trails
Take an adventure through the Ozark National forest with to hundreds of miles of hiking and horseback riding trails. The Ozark Highlands Trail, rated one of the most scenic hiking trails in the country, is easily accessed from Mulberry Mountain. Enjoy an afternoon trip to the waterfalls on mountain creek or take a ride along the mulberry river for great views of the Ozark Mountains.

Canoeing/Kayaking
The approximately 55-mile Mulberry River is definitely one of the state's wildest rivers during the spring. From its beginnings deep in the Ozarks to its confluence with the Arkansas River, the Mulberry pours over ledges, shoots through willow thickets, and whips around sharp turns. These "wild" characteristics are what give the stream its class II/III rating, and high marks from the floating public. During the summer months the river is much calmer and more suited for less experienced floaters. Canoes and Kayaks can be easily rented at one of the nearby outfitters.

Wildlife
Surrounded by the Ozark National Forest, Mulberry Mountain provides the perfect opportunity to spot an abundance of wildlife including whitetail deer, turkey, squirrel, black bear, bald eagles, and much more. Whether it’s relaxing outside your cabin or exploring the nearby trails, you are sure to witness a few of these magnificent creatures.

Fishing
You’ll find great fishing at Mulberry Mountain. Fish in one of our four stocked mini-lakes or enjoy private access to ½ mile of the Mulberry River. In late spring and early summer, the river is an excellent choice when angling for smallmouth, largemouth, and spotted bass or green and longear sunfish. The potholes can be fished during drier months, but getting to them may require hiking along a slippery streambed.

Scenic Arkansas Highways
Thousands of automobile and motorcycle enthusiasts travel to the Ozarks each year to tour the incredibly scenic highways. Mulberry Mountain is located along Hwy 23, better known as the Pig Trail National Scenic Byway. It is perhaps the most beautiful drives in the Ozarks. The twisting curves over the mountains guide you through a canopy of trees leading down to the Mulberry River Valley. Take scenic Hwy 215 at Cass you will encounter some of the most breathtaking views of the Ozark Mountains and Mulberry River.

Arkansas ATV Trails
Bring your ATV’s and enjoy the many trails accessed directly from Mulberry Mountain. The Ozark National Forest features wonderful mountainous terrain, scenic views, and clear mountain streams. Trails vary from easy to most difficult. Be aware of other trail users while riding, as hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers also take advantage of these trails.
